Delta Air Lines has announced a new partnership with Shake Shack, where first-class passengers on routes over 900 miles departing from Boston can pre-select a Shake Shack cheeseburger as their meal option starting December 1. Passengers can select their meal up to 24 hours in advance using the Fly Delta app or a link in their email. In addition to the cheeseburger, passengers will also receive a Caesar salad, chips, and a dark chocolate brownie. Stephanie Laster, Delta’s Managing Director of Onboard Service, stated that burgers are a popular menu item for Delta passengers, and they are excited to offer Shake Shack burgers onboard. Shake Shack’s President of Global Licensing, Michael Kark, expressed excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to bring their cheeseburger to new heights. Delta plans to expand this offering to other U.S. markets by 2025, but it is unclear if this will extend to main cabin customers. This initiative aims to elevate the in-flight dining experience for travelers and provide a taste of comfort food at 35,000 feet.
