Georgia State’s volleyball team, led by head coach Flavia Siqueria, has had a historic season, clinching the No. 5 seed in the Sun Belt East. The Panthers finished the regular season with a record of 16-12 (6-9 Sun Belt), their best finish since 2009. They will face off against Troy, the No. 4 seed in the West, in the first round of the Sun Belt Championship tournament on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
This will be the 38th meeting between Georgia State and Troy, with the Panthers holding a series record of 18-19 against the Trojans. The two teams last met in 2021, with Georgia State falling 2-3 at home. The winner of this match will advance to face No. 1 seed App State in the second round of the tournament.
The Panthers have been working hard all season to make it to this point, and they are ready to compete for a chance at the Sun Belt Championship title. Fans can catch all the action on Thursday as they battle it out against Troy in what is sure to be an exciting match-up.
