The App State tennis team is gearing up to face Georgia State in their final home match of the season, scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow. The Mountaineers are coming off a 4-1 victory over Georgia Southern, with standout performances from players like Savannah Dada-Mascoll, Taya Powell, and Naledi Manyube.
Dada-Mascoll, who holds an impressive 15-2 singles record, was named the Sun Belt Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her recent performances. Manyube, with a 12-2 singles record, also earned this honor earlier in the season. Other key players like Alexi Cleveland and Olwyn Ryan-Bovey have also made significant contributions to the team’s success this season.
The Mountaineers currently hold a 7-2 conference record and are second in the Sun Belt standings with two matches remaining in the regular season. On the other hand, Georgia State enters the match with a 5-11 overall record, coming off a win against Arkansas State.
App State will wrap up the regular season on the road against Louisiana on April 19. The 2024-25 tennis season is presented by Hound Ears Club. Tennis fans are encouraged to come out and support the Mountaineers in their final home match as they look to continue their impressive season.
