Panthers Finish 10th at Liz Murphey Invitational


Georgia State finished 10th at the Liz Murphy Invitational, hosted by Georgia, with freshman TK Kongthong leading the Panthers with a score of 227 (+11). The top 5 teams in the tournament were Georgia Southern, Georgia, Missouri, Alabama, and Oklahoma, with Oklahoma’s Audrey Rischer finishing as the top individual with an even score.

Georgia State’s team scored a total of +63 over three rounds, with TK Kongthong finishing at +11, Pariya Sanpanawat at +12, Madison Rookard at +18, Thin Wai Khaing at +23, Sofia Weinstein at +33, and Silka Solomon at +42. The Panthers will now look ahead to the Sun Belt Conference Championship Tournament on April 16-18 at the Lakewood Golf Club in Fairhope, Ala.

This tournament served as a warm-up for Georgia State’s participation in the upcoming conference championship, where they hope to improve on their performance and showcase their talent on the golf course. With strong individual performances from Kongthong and Sanpanawat, the Panthers will aim to climb up the leaderboard and make a statement in the championship tournament.
