United Airlines is spreading holiday cheer with their “Fantasy Flights” program, in partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which aims to bring joy to children facing serious illnesses. The initiative will transport children and their families to a whimsical North Pole experience, complete with festive decorations, Santa Claus, and his elves at specially crafted winter wonderlands at 13 different cities.
United Airlines has committed to matching up to 5 million donated miles and up to $500,000 in donations through travel certificates. The airline has also partnered with local nonprofits and hospitals to bring this magical experience to life in cities such as Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.
Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, expressed gratitude for United’s contributions, stating that the generosity of the airline and its MileagePlus members through the Miles on a Mission program is life-changing for wish kids and their families. These donated miles enable transformative wish experiences that bring hope, joy, and strength during challenging times.
The Fantasy Flights program is set to begin this Saturday and will provide children and their families with a memorable and enchanting holiday experience. United Airlines employees, volunteers, and team members are working together to create a magical atmosphere at airport gates across the country for this festive initiative.
