Euharlee Welcome Center to Host Exclusive Art Exhibition in 2025
Euharlee, GA – The Euharlee Welcome Center and History Museum is set to become one of the ten distinguished venues across Georgia hosting the curated traveling exhibition, “Reimagine: Contemporary Georgia Artists,” beginning in February 2025. This initiative by the Georgia Council for the Arts, part of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, aims to celebrate the creativity of local, regional, and state artists.
Running from February 3 to March 14, 2025, the exhibition will feature an impressive mix of local artwork alongside 20 notable pieces from Georgia’s State Art Collection. Dana Rieske, the Museum Manager, expressed her enthusiasm, inviting artists of all ages, particularly youth, to submit their works. “This exhibit will celebrate creativity that transcends traditional gallery styles, showcasing pieces that are beautiful, functional, and thought-provoking,” Rieske noted.
To participate in the local component of the exhibition, artists must submit their works by the deadline of December 31, with selections made by a local jury. Interested parties can find submission forms and more information by contacting Art in Bartow via email.
The initiative to host “Reimagine” is a part of a collaborative effort to engage smaller and rural communities in Georgia through art. According to Tina Lilly, Executive Director of the Georgia Council for the Arts, this traveling exhibition not only promotes local talent but also enhances cultural awareness and stimulates tourism in the area. "We are excited for Georgia’s rural communities to experience remarkable artwork without having to travel far," Lilly added.
