Athens, GA – Running Back Ousmane Kromah Flips Commitment from Georgia to Florida State
In a surprising turn of events, Georgia’s football program has experienced its first de-commitment of the day as highly regarded running back Ousmane Kromah has officially announced his commitment to Florida State. Kromah, a standout from Leesburg, Georgia, had originally pledged to join the Bulldogs in October. Also in the running for his services was Auburn, but ultimately, Kromah has chosen to take his talents to Tallahassee.
Kromah is ranked as the No. 4 running back in the 2025 recruiting cycle, the No. 13 player in Georgia, and the No. 92 player overall. Georgia had hoped to secure two talented players from the Lee County program; however, standout Jeramiah McCloud opted to stick with his commitment to Florida.
Despite the setback with Kromah, Georgia secured a new addition earlier in the day with the signing of running back Bo Walker, ensuring their rushing game remains robust. The Bulldogs have shown promise in their running back acquisitions, having signed three impactful running backs last year: Nate Frazier, Chauncey Bowens, and Dwight Phillips Jr., with Frazier currently leading the team in rushing yards this season.
Looking ahead, Georgia’s 2024 roster is expected to remain intact, with Trevor Etienne, Branson Robinson, and Roderick Robinson all retaining eligibility. Currently, 21 of Georgia’s 27 commitments for the upcoming recruiting cycle have officially signed with the program, indicating that while they may have lost Kromah, their recruiting efforts are still on track.
