Freshman Jaxson Robinson led the way with 19 points as the No. 8 Kentucky Wildcats secured a dominant 105-76 victory over the Georgia State Panthers. Lamont Butler added 17 points and six assists, while Amari Williams, Otega Oweh, Andrew Carr, and Koby Brea all contributed double-digit points for the Wildcats. Cesare Edwards paced Georgia State with 21 points, followed by Zarique Nutter’s 19. The Panthers struggled to keep up with Kentucky’s scoring power, as the Wildcats shot an impressive 59.7 percent from the field.
Kentucky took control early in the game with a 9-0 scoring run after Nutter’s mid-range jumper briefly threatened their lead. The Panthers made a push in the second half, but a flagrant foul by Clash Peters and technical fouls for Oweh, Brea, and Nutter shifted the momentum back in Kentucky’s favor. The Wildcats sealed the win with a 20-6 run capped off by three-pointers from Brea and Robinson.
The victory marked Kentucky’s fourth game this year scoring over 100 points, showcasing their offensive prowess. The Wildcats remain undefeated with a 7-0 record, while Georgia State falls to 4-4 and has now lost two of their last three games. Jaxson Robinson’s standout performance and the team’s efficient shooting were key factors in securing this impressive win for Kentucky.
