City of Valdosta Announces Judges for 2024 Christmas Parade

VALDOSTA – The City of Valdosta Main Street has officially announced the judges for the upcoming 2024 Greater Valdosta Christmas Parade, set to take place on Saturday, December 7, at 6 p.m. This year’s parade theme, "Christmas in Georgia," aims to foster a sense of community and highlight the spirit of the season.

The esteemed judging panel will feature Dr. Tret Witherspoon, Assistant Superintendent of Valdosta City Schools; Susan Mullis of The Flower Gallery in Downtown Valdosta; and Naiz McNeill, a realtor with The Herndon Company. The parade will be emceed by local favorite Big L from Hot 102.7 FM.

Main Street Manager Kym Hughes expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “The Greater Valdosta Christmas Parade is a beloved tradition that brings our community together. This year’s theme perfectly captures the connection of our residents to the heart of Downtown Valdosta. We look forward to celebrating and showcasing the incredible creativity and holiday cheer of our community.”

The parade is expected to attract thousands of spectators as it illuminates Downtown Valdosta with vibrant floats, marching bands, festive performances, and holiday displays, all reflecting what Christmas means in Georgia.
