The Georgia State women’s basketball team is gearing up to face off against No. 24 Alabama after a successful run in the GSU Thanksgiving tournament. Led by standout players Mya Williams, Mikyla Tolivert, Crystal Henderson, and others, the Panthers have shown strength both offensively and defensively this season. Williams leads the team in three-point shooting, while Tolivert is the leading scorer and free-throw shooter. Henderson has made a strong impact as a sophomore leader, earning accolades for her performance on the court. The Panthers also have a strong lineup of forwards, including graduate transfers Eden Johnson and Mahogany Matthews, as well as returners Patience Williams and Aaliyah Hunt. Matthews leads the team in blocks, while Williams excels in rebounds. The team is looking forward to their upcoming game against Alabama and is aiming to continue their success on the court. With a combination of experienced veterans and promising newcomers, the Panthers are poised for a competitive season in the Sun Belt Conference. Their next home game will take place on December 8th at the GSU Convocation Center.
