Hispanic men are redefining the meaning of college education, with some considering vocational training as a form of higher education. However, many Hispanic men work in physically demanding jobs in industries like transportation and construction, leading to higher rates of workplace injuries and physical wear and tear as they age. In response to these challenges, some men are pursuing further education and starting their own businesses. Despite making gains in health insurance coverage, homeownership, and wages under the Biden administration, many Hispanic men still face financial struggles and seek more support for small businesses. The next administration is urged to provide resources and assistance to help small-business owners reduce costs and grow their businesses. Additionally, the future voting decisions of Latino men may be influenced by their perceptions of whether the “American dream” is attainable for them. It is important for policymakers to recognize the value of Hispanic men as a workforce and provide the necessary support for their success.
