Brandon Garrison will not play against Georgia State

Kentucky Wildcats sophomore center Brandon Garrison will not be playing in tonight’s game against Georgia State due to soreness. Head coach Mark Pope announced the news on a pregame radio show, stating that Garrison will be held out as a precaution to ensure his health before returning to the court.

Garrison’s absence will be felt by the team as they gear up for upcoming matchups against Clemson and Gonzaga. The Oklahoma State transfer has been a key player for the Wildcats this season, averaging 6.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, three assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

The Wildcats will look to secure a win against Georgia State, who currently hold a 4-3 record. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST at Rupp Arena and will be broadcasted on the SEC Network. Kentucky fans will have to wait to see Garrison back in action as the team hopes to maintain their strong start to the season.
