The Arkansas State football team secured their second consecutive bowl eligibility with a 27-20 victory over Georgia State in Atlanta. Kicker Clune Van Andel made headlines by setting a new A-State record with his 16th consecutive made field goal, including a 52-yard kick in the fourth quarter. The team’s defense also played a crucial role in the win, forcing two turnovers with interceptions by Justin Parks and Trevian Thomas.
