App State and The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame will honor 2024 College Football Hall of Fame electee Armanti Edwards with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments. The event will take place during the Mountaineers’ home game against Old Dominion on Nov. 2.
Armanti Edwards is being recognized for his outstanding college football career, which included being a two-time Walter Payton Award winner and leading App State to two FCS national titles. Edwards will join the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class, which includes players like Randy Moss and coaches like Mark Dantonio.
The NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute program is a tradition that honors Hall of Fame electees by having them return to their respective schools to accept a plaque that will be displayed permanently. Many Hall of Famers consider this experience to be the ultimate recognition of their careers.
The 2024 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted at the National Football Foundation’s 66th Annual Awards Dinner in Las Vegas on Dec. 10. Fidelity Investments has been the national presenting sponsor of the NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salutes since 2010, as both organizations share a commitment to celebrating scholar-athletes and supporting higher education.
Established in 1947, The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization that promotes scholarship, citizenship, and athletic achievement in young people through football. NFF programs include the selection and induction of members of the College Football Hall of Fame, as well as initiatives to honor past legends and inspire future leaders.
