The Marshall Men’s Soccer team ended their match against Georgia State in a 3-3 draw on Sunday evening in Atlanta. Despite early goals from Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos and Takahiro Fujita, Marshall was unable to secure the win. Coach Chris Grassie expressed disappointment in the team’s performance, citing a lack of consistency.
Rodrigues dos Santos scored two goals, bringing his season total to eight, while Matt Taylor also found the back of the net for Marshall. However, Georgia State mounted a comeback in the final minutes, scoring two late goals to ensure the draw.
Marshall, ranked fourth in the nation, will now face Kentucky on Friday in another away match. Fans can support the team by donating to the Championship Fund for Marshall men’s soccer, with all proceeds directly benefiting the team.
