Fatalities confirmed following helicopter crash involving 4 passengers hitting radio tower in Houston


Multiple people died in Houston on Sunday night when a private helicopter struck a radio tower and sparked a large fire. Police Chief J. Noe Diaz confirmed that four people, including a child, were on board the Robinson R44 helicopter at the time of the crash. The Houston Fire Department responded to the incident in the Second Ward neighborhood where the helicopter crashed, causing a fire that spread as far as three blocks before being extinguished. Fortunately, no one on the ground was injured in the crash. The identities of the victims have not been released, and both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration will be conducting investigations into the cause of the crash. The businesses in the area were closed at the time of the incident, and authorities are working to determine what led to the tragic accident.
