Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, 41, was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee following a minor crash. He was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a handgun under the influence, failure to exercise due care, and implied consent. The incident occurred when Cutler rear-ended another vehicle and attempted to flee after offering $2,000 to avoid police involvement. An officer noticed signs of impairment in Cutler, who refused to take a sobriety test. Upon his arrest, a rifle and loaded handgun were found in his car. Cutler was released on $5,000 bond with conditions to not drive without an ignition interlock device or while under the influence. Cutler, best known for his NFL career with the Chicago Bears, was previously married to reality TV star Kristin Cavallari. The couple appeared on the show “Very Cavallari” which focused on Cavallari’s business ventures and family life. They share three children. Cutler’s representative did not respond to requests for comment on the incident.
