Popular TikTok creator Terryon Thomas, also known as Mr Prada, with nearly 4 million followers, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Police issued a warrant for his arrest after he refused to comply with officers during a traffic stop, where the vehicle he was driving was reported stolen. Thomas reportedly backed into the officers’ car and fled the scene. He was later arrested in Dallas and awaits extradition back to Baton Rouge.
On the same day the warrant was issued, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook seeking information about a person of interest connected to a stolen vehicle incident, which is believed to be linked to the homicide of therapist William Nicholas Abraham, whose body was found wrapped in a tarp on the side of a highway. Law enforcement officials are investigating Abraham’s death as a homicide but have not named a suspect.
Social media posts speculating that Thomas was connected to the homicide incident spread, with some false claims that he was wanted for killing Abraham. Thomas gained fame on TikTok for his comedic videos, some of which he was accused of copying from other creators. Thomas has made now-deleted videos expressing an unapologetic attitude towards replicating other creators’ content.
Baton Rouge police and representatives for Thomas have not provided comments on the situation.
