The Ukrainian president also criticized North Korea and Iran for providing arms to Russia, labeling them as Moscow’s “de facto accomplices”. However, both countries denied these claims.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken accused China of providing military supplies to Russia, a claim that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi rejected. Despite the tensions, China reaffirmed its commitment to achieving peace in Ukraine through a proposal with Brazil. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reiterated the UN’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, condemning Russia’s invasion as a violation of international principles.
The meeting highlighted the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with Zelenskyy calling for international support to force Russia into peace. The discussions also underscored the complex geopolitical dynamics at play, with accusations of support from other countries fueling tensions within the Security Council.
