Georgia State University’s women’s golf team kicked off their fall season at the Lady Paladin Invitational, showcasing their talent and determination on the course. The tournament, held at the Furman University Golf Course, featured tough competition from several top collegiate teams.
The Panthers started strong in the first round, with a solid performance from sophomore Harmanprit Kaur, who finished with a score of 74. Senior Petra Duran and junior Kitty Hodgson also had strong showings, shooting 76 and 77 respectively. Freshman Katarina Karlovic made her collegiate debut and displayed promising potential with a score of 78.
In the second round, Kaur continued to lead the team with an impressive score of 72, finishing tied for 13th individually. Duran also had a solid round, shooting a 76, while Hodgson and Karlovic improved on their first-round scores. The Panthers showed resilience and determination throughout the tournament, finishing in 13th place overall.
Head coach Cathy Mant praised her team’s performance, highlighting their hard work and dedication leading up to the tournament. She expressed confidence in their ability to continue to improve and compete at a high level throughout the season.
