Roger O’Donnell, keyboardist for “The Cure,” revealed his diagnosis of a rare and aggressive form of lymphoma last year. After undergoing surgery and 11 months of treatment including immunotherapy, medication, and radiotherapy, he is now in good condition with a positive prognosis. O’Donnell emphasized the importance of early detection and encouraged anyone experiencing symptoms of blood cancer to get tested as soon as possible. He also urged fans to support those who are sick, emphasizing the power of every word in helping individuals through their illness. O’Donnell, who joined “The Cure” in 1987 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, had to pull out of the band’s Latin American tour last year due to health reasons. He shared his story in honor of Blood Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment for cancer.
