American gymnast and Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik has been announced as the first celebrity to compete on Season 33 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The full cast will be revealed at a later date, with the season kicking off on Sept. 17. Nedoroscik gained attention at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where he won a bronze medal on the pommel horse and helped the U.S. Men’s Gymnastics team win their first team medal in 16 years. Despite living with strabismus, he competes without glasses and relies on feeling the equipment during his routines. The 25-year-old athlete also uses his platform to support individuals with low vision and has garnered comparisons to Clark Kent from the Superman franchise. Co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, along with judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough, will return for the upcoming season. The new season will simulcast on ABC and Disney+ with next-day viewing on Hulu. Nedoroscik’s unique story and impressive athletic achievements make him a compelling addition to the show’s roster of celebrity dancers.
