Israel has continued its deadly strikes in Gaza, killing at least 50 more Palestinians and injuring over 120 as it orders evacuations in central and southern parts of the enclave. Among the casualties were four people killed and 18 wounded in an Israeli strike on a school housing displaced Palestinians, with 10 of the injured being children.
The Israeli military claimed the strikes were targeting Hamas terrorists using the school as a hideout, but Palestinian sources denied these claims. The ongoing violence has left more than 40,000 Palestinians dead, with the majority being women and children, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
As Israel expands its ground operations in Gaza, more evacuation orders were issued, leading to scenes of panic and desperation among residents. The UN has called for a ceasefire, denouncing the attacks on civilians and urging an end to the violence.
Amid the devastation, Gaza’s Government Media Office reported that over 1.7 million Palestinians have been displaced, with limited safe areas in the territory. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees condemned the attack on the school, highlighting the dire situation facing children in Gaza.
The situation in Gaza remains dire, with residents facing ongoing violence and displacement as the conflict shows no signs of abating. International calls for a ceasefire and humanitarian relief continue to grow as the civilian toll rises.
