Former President Bill Clinton and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will headline the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night. Clinton will give his 11th Democratic convention speech, where he is expected to criticize Donald Trump and make a case for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Walz will officially accept his party’s nomination for vice-president and will also speak on the theme of “A Fight for Our Freedoms”.
The speeches by Clinton and Walz will take place during the main programming block from 6pm to 10pm ET. Viewers can watch the convention on the Democratic National Convention website, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and on major news networks. The night will also feature speeches from other prominent Democrats including Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, Cory Booker, and Amy Klobuchar.
The convention has already seen speeches from Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, with Biden urging the nation to elect Kamala Harris to protect American democracy. Both Barack and Michelle Obama also endorsed Harris in their speeches, with Michelle stating that Harris is more than ready for the moment.
The convention will conclude on Thursday night with a speech from Vice-President Kamala Harris. The event has highlighted the theme of unity within the Democratic party and the importance of defeating Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election.
