A driver in downtown Los Angeles was brutally attacked by a large group of people on bikes after his vehicle was damaged at the intersection of Olympic and Hope Avenue on August 2. Shailoobek Uulu was surrounded by the group on bicycles, and when he got out of his vehicle, they began attacking him, leaving him with bruises, cuts, and a broken leg. Video captured the moment Uulu was hit from every angle as he tried to salvage his vehicle. A neighbor rescued Uulu from the attack, stating that if she hadn’t intervened, he could have been killed. Several items, including his wallet and documents, were taken from his car, and the total damages were estimated at $20,000. The LAPD has not made any arrests in connection to the incident. Uulu expressed gratitude for the neighbor who helped him during the attack, and he emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating that the group on bikes could have killed him if he was not pulled out from the circle. The violent attack highlights the dangers faced by individuals in urban areas and the importance of community involvement in preventing such incidents.
