Georgia State Athletics had a successful semester academically, with a combined GPA of 3.23 for the spring 2024 term. A total of 227 student-athletes received academic honors for achieving a GPA of 3.0 or higher. This accomplishment contributed to the student-athlete population’s overall GPA of 3.25 for the academic year, building on a trend of maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher for 32 consecutive semesters.
The women’s tennis team led with an impressive 3.95 GPA, followed by the men’s tennis program at 3.76 and the beach volleyball team at 3.75. Other top-performing teams included women’s soccer, women’s golf, and women’s cross country. Thirteen Georgia State programs had team GPAs above 3.0, with six programs exceeding 3.5.
Overall, 51 student-athletes made the President’s List with a GPA of 4.0 or higher, while 88 were on the Dean’s List and another 88 made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. The academic success spanned various sports and showcased the dedication of Georgia State’s student-athletes to their studies.
This achievement underscores the commitment to academic excellence within the Georgia State Athletics program and highlights the student-athletes’ ability to balance their responsibilities both on the field and in the classroom. As they continue to excel in their athletic pursuits, they also demonstrate a strong dedication to their education and academic growth.
