Israeli attacks in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians, including local journalist Muhammad Abu Jasser and his family. The relentless bombardment by the Israeli military has targeted various areas in Gaza, with civilian casualties mounting. The death toll has now reached nearly 39,000 people.
The Palestinian Civil Defence reported retrieving the bodies of 12 people killed in Nuseirat and documented additional casualties in Bureij camp, Gaza City, and other areas. A commercial building housing displaced people was also hit, resulting in more deaths. The airstrikes have caused widespread devastation and loss of life in the besieged territory. In addition to the human toll, there is also concern about a hunger crisis and the spread of diseases due to the blockade on Gaza.
Despite international pressure for a ceasefire, Israel has intensified its attacks in recent weeks. Hamas has accused Israel of increasing its bombing campaign in response to the International Court of Justice ruling that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory is illegal. Hamas has called for the United Nations to intervene and stop what they describe as Zionist crimes and terrorism.
The Ministry of Interior in Gaza warned against further displacement of Palestinians by Israel and condemned the abuses inflicted on displaced individuals. Hamas has vowed to continue resisting Israeli aggression, and their military wing, along with allied groups, have carried out attacks against Israeli forces. The situation in Gaza remains volatile, with no immediate end in sight to the violence and bloodshed.
