In an exciting matchup on Saturday, the Atlanta Braves secured a 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in the first game of a split doubleheader. The game was decided in the 10th inning when Ozzie Albies hit a sacrifice fly to bring Adam Duvall home for the winning run. Eddie Rosario also played a key role in the Braves’ comeback, hitting a tying two-run homer in the seventh inning.
Despite a strong performance from Cardinals pitcher Kyle Gibson, the Braves were able to rally and secure the win. Manager Brian Snitker noted that the team has evolved and found ways to generate offense in different ways, such as through sacrifice bunts.
The Cardinals had their chances to take the lead, but a missed opportunity in the 10th inning allowed the Braves to come out on top. Alec Burleson lined into a double play with a runner on third base, giving the Braves the opening they needed to secure the win.

Atlanta rookie Spencer Schwellenbach will face off against St. Louis right-hander Miles Mikolas in what is sure to be another thrilling matchup between these two competitive teams.
