Georgia State Patrol reports Clayton County deputies and detainee injured in multi-vehicle crash


Two Clayton County Sheriff’s Office deputies, a detainee they were transporting, and the driver of another car were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Forest Parkway in Atlanta, Georgia. The incident occurred when a 2014 Lincoln MKZ failed to stop and rear-ended the Clayton County Dodge Charger, which then hit the Chevrolet Trax in front of it. The injured individuals were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, with the extent of their injuries still unknown.

The driver of the Lincoln was suspected to be under the influence at the time of the crash. The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to the scene and will be working with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office to determine any charges related to the incident.

The crash occurred just south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport around 5:13 pm. Officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
