Georgia State University beach volleyball team has once again showcased their excellence not only on the sand but also in the classroom. The team has received the 2024 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT, marking their 11th consecutive recognition. They have also been honored with the prestigious Honor Roll distinction for being in the top 20 percent of team grade-point averages in Division I collegiate beach volleyball.
With a team GPA of 3.77, the Sandy Panthers have demonstrated their dedication to academic success while also earning a spot in this year’s NCAA Championship Tournament. Head coach Beth Van Fleet expressed her pride in her team’s work ethic and commitment both on and off the sand.
The AVCA Team Academic Award recognizes volleyball teams across all divisions that maintain a high grade-point average, with more than 1,400 collegiate and high school teams being honored for their academic achievements this year. Georgia State’s impressive academic performance highlights their commitment to excellence in all aspects of their student-athlete experience.
